So, here it is… the last post of my series about wholesalecrafts.com. Once again, this is MY point of view and other artists may have (and certainly have) other points of view.
Those who make a lot of sales are saying this is the best thing that ever happened to them.
Those who do not make any [...]
The last feature I have not talked about yet is the discussion board.
On the site, there are several forums for members only:
- artists to artists,
- artists to retailers,
- retailers to retailers,
- announcements,
- ACRE,
- and a cool “ask Steve” where you can ask Steve Meltzer questions about photography.
And like all discussion boards, they can [...]
Wholesalecrafts.com also organizes a trade show called ACRE (American Crafts Retailers Expo) once a year in June in Las Vegas. 2009 was the third year of the show.
There is obviously a fee ($2000 to $5200 depending of the size of the booth) to exhibit at ACRE, but it includes one year of web site presence.

So, [...]
After more than a year of membership with this organisation, I thought about time to post a review… which will be made from my standpoint as an artist.
Other artists and retailers may have a different point of view.
As there is a lot to say on this topic, I am not going able to make in [...]
For someone who started to prepare this show 3 months ago, I wonder how I did to have so much to do at the last minute… I guess I took a bit more that I could chew… nothing new here.
Anyway, I am just done putting together 75 catalogues (let’s talk about a mind numbing job!) [...]
Hi! A couple weeks ago I visited the Oasis Gift Show in Phoenix hoping to find out if this was going to be a place where I’d like to exhibit in the future.
In the US, there are only two trade shows dedicated to handmade products: BMAC (twice a year in Philadelphia and Baltimore) and ACRE [...]
