Last week, wholesalecrafts.com added a feature to allow artists to share their Facebook and Twitter url from their page.
At first, I was very upset about it. Boiling blood and twisted panties.
I am craving for features like statistics, or more space to describe my products, which would allow me to grow and/or refocus the wholesale part of my business. Unfortunately, I think we will get those when the pigs will fly because it sounds like they are not able to work on complicated issues.
So, one in a while, they throw us a bone with a “cute” stuff like this link to Facebook.
Then I thought… since the feature is here to stay, I am not going to stay upset over something I cannot change. Therefore, I have the choice to ignore it (this is an optional feature) or make the best of it. And I decided on the later.
This is a while that I am on Facebook and Twitter. Moderately active on Facebook. Pretty much laying there on Twitter.
So, it motivated me to clean up my act. Not so easy… but I tried my best. I am updating my blog regularly (at least, this is my goal) but I do not feel like going in every places to write the same news. Days have only 24 hours!!
I found out that linking an external blog to Facebook is possible on our personal page. This is a FB feature that feeds the notes with the blog posts.
But it does not sound possible to do the same for the fans page. And I’d like to keep my fans updated with what’s going on in the studio. This is when I found about the NetworkedBlogs application. After installing it, it allowed to automatically publish my latest post both on my personal page and my fans page. Not bad.
Then, the Twitter app (the one made by Twitter) takes my FB updates (aka blog updates) and send them to Twitter.
Mission accomplished!!
I am still new into this social media jungle, and I feel that things change by the minute. If you have any advices or tips to share, I am all ears! in the meantime, please meet me, the social bug
A bientôt!
